Turmeric Tea (Golden Milk) – (recipe from Wellness Mama, image from herbalteasonline)
GREAT FOR BREAKFAST AND AS A HOT DRINK AT BEDTIME
Ingredients (Serves 4)
2 cups of whole milk (almond / rice milk)
1 teaspoon Turmeric (grated fresh curcumin)
½ teaspoon Cinnamon powder or 1 small cinnamon stick
1 teaspoon raw honey (optional)
Tiny piece of fresh, peeled ginger root or ¼ tsp ginger powder
Pinch of Cayenne pepper (optional)
Pinch of Black pepper
Instructions
Blend all ingredients in a high speed blender until smooth. Alternatively grate the ingredients finely and strain larger chunks out before drinking.
Pour into a small sauce pan and gently heat for 3-5 minutes over a low heat until hot.
Drink immediately
